I’ve revisited the tiny hand pattern from a few days ago, after discovering that my original method for reversing the hand (that is, making a left hand) didn’t work at all. It seemed like a good idea at the time…
So after quite a few failed experiments (see second photo), I have a method I like a lot, that verifiably makes both right and left hands. It also sets them up to be either sewn onto an already-made arm or chain-stitched continuously into a sort of stick figure arm.
From the last photo you can see that this hand is an appropriate scale for the little blue guy. This is my first step in upgrading his pattern to a more detailed and interesting one. These hands are, as before, worked with @sulkythreads 12wt cotton and a @tulipjapan_official 0.6mm hook.
Next step is a tiny foot. Working on that now.
