I
“Lucky” was one of my earliest knit portrait subjects. His portrait was my introduction to the challenge of depicting a white dog, with only black and white yarns, at extremely low resolution.
His micro-crochet model, which now also lives with his human family, was based on a Maltese pattern from ObscurelySmall on Etsy. Learning to make “fur” from thread was a bit scary. (Just keep brushing all those strands that took so long to sew in—don’t worry, it’ll be fine! You are NOT about to destroy all your work!)
